I'm 17... is it possible to get prostate cancer?
Yes, it is possible to happen to males of any age. However, someone your age with prostate cancer would be highly unusual. The average age at diagnosis is 70, so it is largely a disease of older men.
Reply:Yes...of course that is, if you are male. Don't allow cancer to fool you. It can strike anyone at any age.
Reply:ur screen name is tight! any way i would think its possible but just very rare!

im wearin my j's right now!
Reply:Probably unusual...but not impossible. If you have a question about this ask your doctor to check your prostate for enlargement (especially if you are having difficulty in urinating) and also to run a PSA test.....Prostate Serum Antigen
Reply:yes
Reply:very unlikely swelling yes but cancer at your age no!!! not prostate
Reply:R u reading medical books to get such funny ideas.
Reply:anything can happen, but unlikely. best to see a doctor to check out whatever is your problem
Reply:In a 17 year old CAP would be RARE. The most common type being rhabdomyosarcoma, not the typical CAP you read about. The most common presenting symptom would be inablilty to urinate.
Reply:I'm a nurse. Yes anything is possible. It could also be something else, see a doctor.
Reply:yes
Reply:youve been humping some nasty women
Reply:Possible; yes.

Likely; no.

If you are concerned, go see your doctor.
Reply:yes but rare...

wanna know how to prevent prostate cancer?

jack off!!!! i am not joking!
Reply:You are 17! 17 is the most masturbating year of an adolescent's life. Keep it up and you will have prevented it.
Reply:Sure, but why do you ask? Look on a medical info website, and see if you have any symptoms. Quite rare for a guy your age to get prostate cancer, mostly older guys, 50's or more.
