What U.S. Doctor's have the Highest Success Rate for Removal of Prostate Cancer?

I'm interested in obtaining information on the best doctor's in America who deal with the surgical removal of prostate cancer. Mainly, who or where to find the top doctor's in the field or which doctors have the highest sucess rate in treating prostate cancer.

You need to research one place to start is Johns Hopkins. There are many other excellent cancer centers such as Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY, MD Andersen Center in TX, Duke University.... Also after the cancer is removed it will need to be treated using either radiation or chemotherapy. If chemo is necesassary a good place to search for clinical trials is oncolink. Do a google on oncolink it is through the Univ. of PA and it is updated with all the latest trials.... Good luck and I hope I have helped you....

Reply:Actually, I would go to the American Cancer Society's webpage and see what info that might have. If they have a support number, you could also try that. Your doctor should be able to refer you to a competant treating physician; however, if you are uncomfortable with their choice, I'd simply Google the term prostate cancer or prostate cancer programs and see what hospitals come up that have specific programs for treating it. I live in AL and I know UAB has a great cancer program, but there isn't neccesarily going to be just one doc that is the best to treat it always. It depends on the cancer.
